Red Sox v Rays

We made it to our first Red Sox game of the season. We love our Boston Sports.

Our Right Field Box seats were so good! (so good, so good! Ha!)

It had been drizzling all game long, and pretty cold, but we were prepared.  We dressed like we were headed to a Pats game – double pants, plastic ponchos, snow boots…

So there we are sitting in the drizzle all game, then all of sudden, 1/2 inning to go, they call rain delay!  WHAT?  We realized the game was tied, but really?  You can’t at least wait one more 1/2 inning of drizzle to see if we can end this in regulation?  Good grief.  Still a fun night was had!

Plus, we love being able to walk to and from Fenway from our place.  Also, we generally walk back from the Garden after C’s games too!  We’ve been getting our exercise in!  I guess while I’m mentioning it, we walked to/from the Wang (Atoms For Peace concert) and the House of Blues (Dropkick Murphys concert).  I’m like a Boston salesman!

So update, they didn’t honor tickets for people who were at the rain suspended game – instead they played it playground-style, finishing it the next night, before starting game 2 of the series.  Turns out the Sox lost (1-3) – kinda nice we saw a tie!

Celtics v Cavs & Happy Easter

Happy Easter!  We made that fun French Toast Casserole again.  So good.

We also went to the Celtics Cavaliers game!  Some of the crew who was in town for Philip’s shindig was still in town for the game, and they had tickets across the arena from us.  We had ridiculously good seats again.

It was an awesome game.  Such a good win (113-117).  And as our 12th and last regular season game we are attending, our Win Attendance Percentage is .500 – wow.   Their actual Home Win Percentage was .634… I could do a student’s t-test to figure out if our presence was statistically significant in its detrimental effect on the C’s.  But I will keep that to myself.  Let’s see what else can we figure out here.  We attended about 30% of the home games this season, that felt like a good amount – week night games are rough.  We have tickets to some playoff games we are excited about though!

Celtics v Rockets & A Gathering of Gs

This was our 11th game of the season. And a tough loss (119-114) especially since it was such a huge game for Rondo tonight.  He passed Celtic’s great Cousy for franchise record assists in a season AND he played an awesome game tonight (5 rebounds, 10 assists, 23 points, 5 steals).

So we had bought tickets for this game before the season started.  Then, our friend came out to celebrate his pre-weddedness  by gathering his boys together for a Celtics game and this game ended up being the night.  The boys got a luxury box that ended up being right across from our original seats and Jeannette and her friend took some paparazzi shots across the court of the guys night out.   It was a fun night, despite the loss.

And yay Rondo!

Dad Allen’s Retirement Party

We flew back to Seattle to surprise Dad for his retirement party.  Only Ma knew.  So we also got to surprise Becky, Grandpa, GrandDad, Grandma, Uncle Bob and Aunt Dee!  We had great fun!  We actually needed a place to rest our tired bodies and party prep after we sat on the tarmac that morning for 3 hours (pilot slept through his alarm) so we went to Grandma and GrandDad’s before the grand unveiling at the party and surprised them and Aunt Dee early at the house.

Check out more photos after the jump!
