On the Beck’s last day we stayed around our neighborhood. We had lunch at The Buttery and showed Becky a place Baxter would love. We loved having Becky visit!

Well, we didn’t make it to the parade this year. Last year was fun, but this year we walked all over Boston, Faneuil Hall, the Waterfront, Fort Point Channel and the South End. PLUS, we got to see Irish Dancing Girls!

We took a day trip up to Maine, stopping at Federal Jack‘s (the birthplace of Shipyard Brewery) for lunch. We swung by the Bush compound to give the Beck a look-see, then headed up to Freeport where they have turned their historic buildings into outlet stores that maintain the old exterior appearance. As we just “met” Violette, we had a good time visiting the children’s clothing stores and shopping for little girl cuteness. There are a couple pictures at the end here, showing the new clothes Becky helped pick out for Jeannette, that Mama Jan bought. Thanks guys!

The Beck came in to town for her 2nd annual St. Patrick’s Day trip. Last year we took her to see the Mary Poppins musical. This year we took her to a concert by one of our favorite bands: The Dropkick Murphys. They are super Boston, super Irish – perfect for a St. Patrick’s Day trip to Boston.
It was an awesome show and we had a great time!
