L – Celtics (81) v Bobcats (83)

Fiallen Game 20

Not much to say other than we snatched a loss from the jaws of a W.

We have always enjoyed the fun Bruins tees sold at the Garden and we finally got pictures.  Later the campaign was found to be a tad too rough and tumble for the likes of some hockey fans from Florida.  Apparently hockey is a sensitive sport.

St. Patty’s Day Parade

After church on Sunday we took Becky to see Boston’s famous St. Patty’s Day Parade. She got to see all the bagpipes and marching and everything else the parade is famous for.  Afterwards we hit up Doughboy Donuts (another Boston institution) before having to take her to the airport. We had such a great visit with her!  Come again soon Buck!

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious

Becky came out to visit and we had a Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious time. Literally! We went to see Mary Poppins!  It was absolutely amazing!

Actually the whole day was great!  We had brunch with Gary and Daniel at Tremont 647 to start the day, then walked around our South End neighborhood, and then headed over to the North End for pastries and cappuccinos at Cafe Vittoria.  We got to show her Josh’s ticket booth at Fanueil hall.  And then we stopped for preshow drinks at a hotel bar near the theater and they had Mary Poppins themed drinks!  So fun!  The show was phenomenal – Bert danced on the ceiling and Mary flew over the audience!  We loved the whole thing!  Afterwards we went to the Beehive for a late dinner and drinks.  A great day!  Yay!

All photos, except the menu photo, are Becky’s.

Becky found these great YouTube clips of Mary Poppins:

W – Celtics (87) v Bucks (56)

Fiallen Game 18

  • Record #1 Broken Tonight: fewest points ever allowed by the Celtics.
  • Record #2 Made Tonight: A Milwaukee franchise low for points scored.
  • Bucks had only scored 9 points after the first quarter and then only had 38 points to start the fourth!
  • Even so they didn’t bring Gino out with 8 minutes left when they could’ve – maybe it would’ve been a bit over the top.  They waited until there were 3 minutes left.
  • Doc’s son was honored at the Garden for winning a HS player of the year award too.
