W – Celtics (102) v Hawks (90)

Our 7th game of the season was another win (102-90)!

  • Baby now has 28 drawn charges (30 offensive fouls drawn total)
  • With all the Celtics injuries, Nate and Semih started – and still all starters finished in the double digits, as did BBD.
  • The Captain, KG and BBD all had double-doubles.
  • All in all, it was a nice win.
  • Sidenote: Our dancers are looking more and more like Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders.  This is unfortunate.

These shoes have seen it all

and are being retired.  They took Josh to China, India and South Africa.  Good work, shoes!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

We decorated this weekend!

Our front door:

Putting our “tree” up and decorating it:
(Note our “fireplace” behind Jeannette – and we were listening to carols on Pandora on Josh’s phone”.)

I love that owl!

We put a few more ornaments & decorations around the apartment.

Ol’time-y Santa hangs through the pass through into the kitchen:

A set of angels:

What do a snowman, wisemen on a camel and a South American man in boat have in common?  Christmas!

I love mercury glass.  (Ho Ho Ho!)

In Memory of Grandma Brown:

We got a super fun wreath to put under our “tree” for some real green.  We tried to add lights – but found out that we hate LEDs.  They are very bah-humbug/Las Vegas strip.

So we went no lights (with our metal “tree” we needed less LED-like).  Someday we’ll have a real tree!  Maybe we’ll upgrade to a Charlie Brown tree next year.

Did you notice our “tree-topper” (or tree-hover-er)?

And finally, just some fun shots of our ornaments:

W – Celitics (105) v Nuggets (89)

We saw the Celtics beat the Nuggets 105 to 89 in our 6th game of the season (we’re 5-1 in wins attended thus far and the C’s are 17-4 overall).

It was a weird game in consistency of play quality, but also because we had to go late.  We went first to a work party and then caught a cab to the Garden and made it before the end of halftime.  We were glad not to miss the game, because it felt like we hadn’t been to one in so long, but going late is not in our style book.  We feel pretty lucky that we work/live so close that we can be there in time for tip-off on a regular basis.

We were sad to note that once again a team’s star player sat out for our game – no Carmelo Anthony.  That’s 3 games/teams/guys now, and always a bummer.

The highlight of the night was 28 points for Ray.

Gino was making his way out – but the PTB didn’t find it appropriate after double Ts were awarded to Baby and Nene.  So then we had to wait until the end of the game.  It’s always weird when they show Gino when the game is OVER – obviously the game is “in hand” … it is over.  Oh well.  Here are a few pictures from Game-Over-Gino-Game-Really-Over.
