Finding Newfound Lake with Gary & Daniel

Gary & Daniel invited us up to Newfound Lake, NH this weekend with them. We headed up to meet them right after the Celtics practice (which was already in Northern Mass) and stayed in a house just off the lake. We had a great time, hanging out, relaxing, playing Pinochle (woohoo!), going on a hike through nature and just spending quality time with our friends. We got to see the Sculpted Rocks Natural Area (apparently NOT a state or national park like I was going to say). The natural area is in the first few pictures in the gallery after the jump.

We had such a great time! Thanks again, Gary & Daniel (& Angel)!!!

Celtics Practice

We got to attend a Celtics practice. It was pretty awesome to see the players up so close – it was as close as you sit to watch a high school basketball game.

There are a lot of pictures in the gallery after the jump; it was hard to stop when we were sitting so close – but we only posted a fraction of the ones we took. We are very excited for the real season to start. It was fun watching practice and the guys (and KG‘s knee) looked great!

Towards the end of the photo gallery there are some super cute pictures of a tiny guy in a KG jersey wandering around the floor, interacting with KG, but more just astonished by his size. Kevin was trying to tell him he was wearing his number. But the kid kept looking at his shirt and then looking back at Kevin trying to figure it all out. Then Eddie intervened and helped the kid out. It was awesome.

Camping in Foxboro

Mama Jan and Grandpa are roadtrippin’ across the country. We went down to the RV Campground in Foxboro to spend the weekend with them when they were near Boston. We didn’t take any good pictures with Mama Jan and Grandpa Brown unfortunately – all we have is this beauty of Josh warming up by the fire in 40 degree weather:

But we did have a great time! We played Pinochle!! Josh even had a Double Run, one deal after melding a Double Pinochle! Grandpa has been playing since he was 17 or so and he has never seen a Double Run! Pretty great! We had a good time seeing them on their RV journey, zig-zagging across the States. And we had a fun time roughing it, sleeping in a tent in super chilly weather – but it was good to know the RV was nearby if we needed it!

Celtics v. Knicks – Preseason Begins!

And so begins our Celtics season.

1st preseason home game.

Versus the Knicks.

We won.

96-82.

It was nice to be back in the Garden for basketball (we were just there for a Killers concert but it’s not as fun).

We should take a picture of our fridge with all our fun Celtics tickets (and our bummer Game 4, defunct ALDS Red Sox tix).  We did go Beerworks after the game and watch baseball play out in our favorite brewery.

From the Berklee Beantown Jazz Festival we went to last weekend:
